Variety, the Children’s Charity, is to honour Kirsty Howard for her dedication to helping children with life limiting conditions, and for her outstanding achievement in raising over seven and a half million pounds for Francis House Children’s Hospice. Kirsty will receive Variety, the Children’s Charity Outstanding Achievement Award at a prestigious dinner on September 20, 2014 at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester, organised with the support of event management company the Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC).

Kirsty Howard has inspired royalty, prime ministers, heads of state, and world-class sports and entertainment stars with her determination and strength of character to survive against all the odds. Her fundraising work has presented opportunities such as an appearance with David Beckham in the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2002 in Manchester, but Kirsty continues to focus to this day on raising money to support her Francis House Children’s Hospice appeal; “The Kirsty Club” for Francis House.

This spectacular event will be attended by many of Kirsty’s VIP guests who will enjoy an evening of superb entertainment from Russell Watson and a sumptuous three-course meal. Tickets for this event are very limited and range from £75 to £125 per person. Contact Lyn or Judi at the offices of Variety, the Children’s Charity on 0161 236 0500 to book, or visit http://www.variety.org.uk or http://www.tlc-ltd.co.uk for details.

Lyn Staunton, development director at Variety, the children’s charity in the North West says: ‘Kirsty has defied all her medical prognosis for 14 years and touched the lives of so many people with her wonderful and inspiring fundraising work, and all money raised from this event will benefit Francis House Children’s Hospice and Variety, the children’s charity.

Variety has joined forces with event management company the Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC) to honour Kirsty Howard, and Lyn added: ‘We are delighted to be working with Liz Taylor from TLC in creating the most special night to celebrate and honour Kirsty with a Variety Outstanding Achievement Award as she celebrates her 19th Birthday. What an amazing night it will be.’

Kirsty Howard says: “I am overwhelmed by the thought of spending my birthday back at the Hilton where I achieved the landmark £5 Million and will be sharing this wonderful evening with the Kirsty team Susie Mathis and Phil Taylor. I hope we can raise a great amount towards the on-going costs at Francis House, and Variety the Children’s Charity, and that many people will want to share the evening with me.”

‘It’s an honour to be planning such an event. It will be a stylish and fun night which celebrates Kirsty’s achievements, with one or two special surprises on the night of course, but also a show-stopper of a party making it great fun for all those companies and generous individuals who support the night. It’s one you simply wont want to miss!’ comments the event’s planner Liz Taylor of TLC.
